Atlantic Provinces Special Education Authority (APSEA)
Established in 1975 under a joint agreement among NB, NL, NS, and PEI Ministers of Education. The only organization of its kind in Canada, providing services from birth to age 21 for students with low incidence sensory impairments including deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind, blind, and visually impaired. Operational costs shared among all 4 Atlantic provinces.
